Mossley v Trafford
Ben Richardson's new "Bluetooth" set (and no he's NOT "stroking the liner" !!!)
At last ... a night where chances were turned into goals !!! 4-0 up after 30 minutes, 6-0 at the end - can't complain really (OK it could have been double figures given Mossley's total dominance but ...). My only worry at 4-0 were the 'hints of frost' that started to appear on the pitch (shades of that Durham City game) - but fortunately it never became an issue. Some not-so-brilliant pictures at
Mossley 6 Trafford 0
It was bloody cold (my excuse and I'm sticking to it !!) - but Mossley made light of the conditions - maybe we need this kind of pitch EVERY week ... the weather forecast for the next few days may well create this - but is more likely to result in a glut of postponments. They were putting frost covers down after the game to try and keep the pitch sweet for a reserve game on Thursday - but personally I wouldn't hold my breath.
So - up to 15th in the league - and if the chances to goals ratio from Tuesday night CAN continue ... there's a few more teams in the Evo-Stik 1st Division North due a stuffing - look out Salford on Saturday ... weather permitting ...

Trafford are rubbish and looking like a candidate for a relegation fight - sad to say it but Vaughan looks like he's out of his depth at this level: poor motivation, questionable tactics and not somebody who can attract the right kind of players. Whether they're brave enough to sack him I'm not sure.
Still, Mossley were good: very good.
