Mossley v Stalybridge

Not the best friendly I've seen this season - but as a Mossley fan the right result. Not exactly a "friendly" either - Stalybridge No 9 (Mark Hume ??) should have been subbed in the first half after a number of rash challenges culminating in Mossley's Terry Bowker going off with a bloodied nose and a dirty shirt.

Officials ? Over-fussy (ref) over-zealous (linesman 1) 'king hopeless (linesman 2)

Mossley got the winner in the second half through Chris Downey - nicely set up by Kenny Mayers.

Crowd - not bad

And Mossley got a trophy at the end of it - the "Frank Robinson Memorial Trophy" (local councillor who died a few month ago).

Few beers in the bar after - and then on to the "Stamford" where we watched this "Amsterdam Tournament" - a total joke - they don't even all play each other - United send out a virtual second team - and the ref's no better than the one we saw earlier at Seel Park
